Uther “Pendragon”
King Uther was given a last name as a result of his vision and his character in battle. Uther was given the news by a wise man, Merlin, that the King was soon to die and that he would become king. This vision was all seen through the star in the shape of a dragon that was seen three times by Uther himself. Uther began his advance against the enemy with the battle against the Saxons. Uther’s victory against the Saxons resulted in the death of the Saxon leaders Gillomanius and Paschent. After this victorious battle, Uther received news that his brother, the King, had passed; so he made his way to Winchester where he took possession of the crown. After receiving the consent of all, Uther was elevated as the King. Uther had two dragons of gold made; one for the cathedral church of Winchester, and the other for himself. Uther also wanted one to carry into battle, resulting in his recent name, Uther Pendragon, or “dragon’s head.” |

A Love Triangle at the Round Table
A quick recap of the drama Written by: Jackson Teague Lancelot and Arthur love the same women! After Lancelot Returned to the court with his son Galahad he was able to convince Guenevere to become his lover. This was able to continue for sometime without any action from Arthur until Aggravain and Mordred got wind of what was going on. This caused a series of actions to be made by Arthur that could wreck the kingdom. Just last week, he sentenced Guenevere to be burned at the stake. This decision has caused trouble not only for Arthurs family but for our entire country. Lancelot has sinced saved Guenevere and they have left the round table. This not only removes Arthur’s best knight from the table, but creates a new enemy. Our fine area can only pray that this does not end in disaster. |
How Arthur Became King
A Tremendous feat that changed
Arthur’s life forever Written by Jackson Teague While Arthur was just a young boy at the age of eight little was known about what the future had in store for him. Although Arthur was the son of Uther of Pendragon, he was raised by another family and had no idea that he was destined to be a king. Arthur found his destiny on one fateful day while he was still a young boy. In an act that would change his life forever, Arthur pulled the Excailber sword from the stone to take his rightful place as king. A good story without doubt, but how does this affect the British people one might ask? King Arthur and his Knights of Round Table have successfully protected us. They have repeatedly gone to battle and returned victors. Britian is prosperous and respected thanks in large part to King Arthur and his Knights. Though, according to some, our success doesn’t need to be quite so violent. According to inside sources, Arthur’s closest advisor Merlin the Magician, has given Arthur contradictory advice. Arthur has had a tough time following the guidance of Merlin who has unsuccessfully tried to discourage battle and war. However, Arthur and his Knights of Round Table have successfully protected us and for that we owe them. |

Conflict Amongst The Round Table
Twelve knights found slaughtered in the palace.
The kingdom rattled today as a hunt for the killer of twelve knights. Twelve knights were found dead in Queen Guinevere’s chamber after a bloody battle occurred amongst several knights. As the story developed and people started to ask questions, it appeared there was an attempt to reveal Sir Lancelot and Queen Guinevere’s affair. Everything began to get out of hand after members of the round table were unable to convince Mordred and Agravain to keep the queen’s affair from the king. “ Nothing could persuade them, they were just to focused on revealing the truth” Said Sir Gawain. A knight from the round table informed reporters that Mordred and Agravin plotted with the king, and that they had developed a plan to catch Lancelot in the act. Agravain and Mordred determined to solidify Lancelot for a traitor, forced their way into the queen’s chambers along with twelve other knights that they brought for assistance. Workers in the castle said they heard several minutes of bicker from both parties when the arguing erupted into fighting. At the scene Mordred told reporters that Lancelot had decided to make an attempt to escape to avoid his capture. He overpowered one of the knights and was able to obtain armor and a weapon. When other knights had arrived they found twelve dead knights as well as Mordred and Agravain with severe wounds. The queen did not answer any questions and denied any of the accusations people made. Reporters spoke to several knights and they all reported there was a great deal of tension amongst the members of the round table. |

Twelve knights dead and the whereabouts of Lancelot are unknown. In an interview with the king several hours after his arrival he stated, “If Sir Lancelot should ever be against me. Now I am sure the noble fellowship of the round tale is broken forever, for many knights are noble to him”. With all the above information repots are sure the total destruction of the round table is eminent. Interviews with all the remaining Knights of the Round Table are scheduled in order to curtail rumors. King Arthur has refused further questioning until he is able to sort out the endeavors of the past weeks. In a final statement from Gawain, he advised King Arthur,” For I do not seek vengeance for my brothers death, nor should you my lord. Lancelot is a noble knight”. |

The Round Table
The synopsis of the round table that has kept the kingdom intact
King Arthur developed the round table after he acquired the crown. The significance of the round table was that no one person, not even the King, would be able to sit at the head of the table. A round table enforced the concept of equality. In a speech to the kingdom King Arthur proclaimed, “ No one man deserve the power to rule a kingdom on his own, it is through democracy true power is obtained”. Arthur also told reporter that through the creation of the round table he was able to yield the fighting between knights regarding who had precedence. With a total of twenty-four original members, each seat on the round table possessed a great deal of honor. Each knight that is a member of the table was to be Honorable, Honest, and Loyal. King Arthur claimed that the round table is what kept the kingdom in order and allowed for his kingdom to prosper. He said that tyranny leads to corruption and betrayal. “ The round table could only last for so long. One tiny flaw and the table crumbled” Arthur told reporter. |
